PREVENTION – STRENGTHEN THE IMMUNE SYSTEM – 10 THINGS YOU CAN DO
THE FLU IS A SYMPTOM OF STRESS.
Thank you Mary-Beth Charno, an RN from the holistic nurses association… she hit the nail on the head….taking care of yourself and doing things that prevent disease is the number one priority. Not just at flu season. Stress kills your immune system and depletes all minerals in the body, wearing you down.
Stress is still the #1 disease instigator. Phrase’s like: “I don’t have time to be sick” or give me the shot and it will take care of it”, or just running on empty till you drop opens the door to illness. Continual prevention and self care is the only thing that will keep you healthy. Listen to your Body and don’t neglect what it is telling you.
Here are a Few Suggestions for Self Care All Year Round:
1. REST – get your 8 hours – the body heals better when given rest
2. DRINK WATER – don’t become dehydrated – necessary to flush out the toxins in the systems
3. EAT AN ALKALINE DIET – pH control. Try to stay in within 6.8 to 7.2 pH. you can get pH strips at your local health food store or pharmacy. Check your pH to see how you are.. an Acidic Body is a breeding ground for germs.
4. AVOID FOOD YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO, SUGAR, CAFFEINE, ALCOHOL IN EXCESS, DRUGS, AND JUNK FOODS – AS THEY TURN THE BODY ACIDIC AND IN THE LONG RUN, WEAR DOWN YOUR ADRENALS AND THYROID. Take your basal temperature and see where you are. If under 98.6, you are run down.
5. MAINTAIN A STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM – With herbs, supplements (Vit C, B complex, B12, B6, Folate, CO Q10, trace minerals, a good multiple vitamin, Bee propolis, mushroom extracts (reishi and maitake), Foods/herbs that are warming – turmeric, curry, ginger, onions, garlic, cayenne. Plus much more.
6. TAKE NATURAL ANTIBIOTICS – such as probiotics, colostrum, and herbs that are natural antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antiparasitic… check out www.supremenutritionproducts.com.. golden thread supreme, morinda and melia, camu… these 4 are all natural herbal preparations that have been proven to herbal preparations that kill bacteria, virus’ parasitic and fungal infections + they strengthen the immune system.
The Body responds better to natural ingredients as it can absorb and assimilate them better. A drug makes the liver, kidneys and gallbladder work harder to eliminate things it can’t assimilate.
7. EAT A BALANCED NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM – WITH ADEQUATE PROTEIN, CARBOHYDRATES, FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. EAT GREEN TO KEEP YOUR pH ALKALINE. And EAT GOOD FATS TO INSURE BRAIN HEALTH. (flax, coconut oil, fish oil).
8. DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR THE WEATHER.
9. REDUCE PHYSICAL STRESS – Get a MASSAGE, make sure your STRUCTURE IS ALIGNED correctly, get an ACUPUNCTURE treatment to help maintain vital chi. These three therapies ARE BODY MAINTENANCE and insure flushing out toxins in the muscles, spinal and nerve function and energetic movement throughout the body. Done on a regular basis, the body can remain healthy.
10. REDUCE YOUR MENTAL/EMOTIONAL STRESS – by exercise, yoga, meditation, deep breathing, take time for yourself, be with friends and love ones, laugh, walk, enjoy nature, see the world around you, and have a positive attitude. Write yourself affirmations and post them. Do whatever it takes.
This is body maintenance, prevention and self-care. Educate yourself in your own health care needs. It is the most cost effective and most satisfying way I know to stay healthy and enjoy life.
You won’t get sick if you remember you are #1 and deserve the best care possible.
